Featured is a wonderful EAPG Tumbler in the Kings 500 Pattern.

  • EAPG stands for Early American Pattern Glass which dates from 1850 until 1914.
  • EAPG is clear or colored pressed glass made in tableware or glassware matched sets.
  • A stunning, highly collectible tumbler.
  • Pattern: The original manufacturers name was King and Son and Company Number 500. This pattern is also known as Kings 500.
  • Color: This EAPG Berry Bowl and 1 Sauce Dish in Kings 500 Pattern is in Dewey or Colbalt blue glass with gold decoration. First introduced in crystal and frosted by King and Son Glass Company 1889. The blue and green are later United States Glass Company production.
  • Design: circles, swirls, spirals, and diamond point
  • Cobalt blue or Dewey blue was named after Admiral George Dewey, a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland. He fought in the Civil War and became famous during the Spanish American War. The Kings 500 pattern has the undulation curves reminiscent of the ocean.
