  • Polly Pocket was first designed by Chris Wiggs in 1983 for his daughter Kate.

  • Bluebird Toys of Swindon, England, licensed the concept.
  • The first Polly Pocket toys appeared in stores in 1989.
  • Shaped like a nursery school with a playground, playhouse, swing, slide and a teeter-totter.
  • Inside is a playroom with two beds, a bathroom and a play area.
  • The front gate opens, swing swings, roof of playhouse (called the Wendy House) swings up and teeter-totter goes up and down.
  • Polly Pockets are loved by children.
