Featured is a wonderful EAPG Table Set in the Bead and Scroll pattern.

  • EAPG stands for Early American Pattern Glass which dates from 1850 until 1914.
  • EAPG is clear or colored pressed glass made in tableware or glassware matched sets.
  • Pattern: The only known name is Bead and Scroll.
  • Color: This EAPG Spoon Holder in the bead and scroll pattern is cobalt blue glass with gold. This pattern was produced in many other colors, often decorated with gold, enamel flowers, etching, and souvenir names.
  • Design: vertical beads with larger beads and scrolls running along the bottom edge.
  • This pattern was even produced in a child table set.
  • A Victorian family required a four-piece table set at their dining room table.
  • Often the table set displayed was a statement about the family’s wealth and status in their community.
  • The table set consisted of a butter dish, sugar bowl, cream pitcher, and a spoon holder.
