Featured is a wonderful EAPG Punch Cup in Kings Crown pattern.

  • EAPG stands for Early American Pattern Glass which dates from 1850 until 1914.
  • EAPG is clear or colored pressed glass made in tableware or glassware matched sets.
  • This is a huge very popular line of glassware. They even produced an orange bowl to hold your very expensive oranges.
  • Pattern: Excelsior (XLCR) is the original manufactures name. This pattern is also known as Kings Crown or Kings Thumbprint.
  • Color: This EAPG cup in the Kings Crown pattern is crystal glass with ruby stain. This pattern was made in other colors and sometimes decorated with gold, enamel flowers, etching and souvenir names.
  • Design: large, indented circles, sometimes called Thumbprints with a sawtooth ridge
  • The Adams and Company only made crystal, so this EAPG Wine Glass, Kings Crown or Thumbprint pattern was probably made there. The line was continued by United States Glass Company.
