- Cobalt blue or Dewey blue was named after Admiral George Dewey, a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland. He fought in the Civil War and became famous during the Spanish American War. The Kings 500 pattern has the undulation curves reminiscent of the ocean.
