- EAPG stands for Early American Pattern Glass which dates from 1850 until 1914.
- EAPG is clear or colored pressed glass made in tableware or glassware matched sets.
- Every Victorian table had a castor set in the middle to hold salt and pepper shakers, oil and vinegar cruets and usually a container for mustard.
- Sometimes a bottle was filled with ‘castor’ sugar. This was made by pounding a sugar loaf with a mortar and pestle.
