Featured is a wonderful piece of EAPG Butter Dish in the Iris and Meander Pattern

  • EAPG stands for Early American Pattern Glass which dates from 1850 until 1914.
  • EAPG is clear or colored pressed glass made in tableware or glassware matched sets.
  • This pattern was first introduced as number 400 but Jefferson changed the name to Iris.
  • Pattern: The original manufacture name was number 400, other names are Fleur-de-Lis, Iris with Meander
  • Color: This EAPG Butter Dish in the Iris and Meander Pattern is crystal glass with white opalescence.
  • Design: Fleur-de-Lis and panels
  • This pattern was made in crystal clear glass, white, yellow, green, blue, and purple opalescent. These same colors were also made without the opalescent but decorated with gold. There are also some experimental colored pieces.
