Featured are wonderful Little People Bedroom Furniture.
- Make a little girl’s room special and unique with several antique or vintage dolls.
- The bed has a raised rounded headboard and a slightly raised rounded footboard. Also the bed has 4 short rectangular legs (one on each corner).
- The top of the bed was originally sold with foam padding, unfortunately the original foam padding tended to disintegrate over time.
- The original Little People went through six major body styles (base) configurations. Even within each major classification there could be one or more minor style variations.
- By 1961, the figures were produced with wood, later on plastic was used for their vehicles and buildings.
- A few years later a “straight-body” format was introduced in the typical smiley face traditional Little People.
- All the little people had a basic cylinder body. The female figures were only identifiable by the addition of slanted, oval eyes and eyelashes.
- By 1965, the Little People boys consisted of a small cylindrical base and a wider cylinder shape for men. Girls had a conical upper body shape.
- Adult women had a kind of hourglass-shaped upper body and the bottom portions of the bodies were indented slightly. This allows for placement in the corresponding holes in furniture, cars and other vehicles. The figures were able to “sit”.
